On a fictional Scottish island, Syrian refugees await the results of their asylum claims. Among them is Omar, a young musician, still carrying his grandfather’s oud, which is a reminder of his history and culture. Despite their sad situation, the characters bring hope and humour to their plight as they adapt to their new lives.
