17th April:
I am not a witch

Spilling a bucket of water has unimaginable consequences for a Zambian girl.

In rural Zambia, spilling water is no laughing matter. When eight-year-old Shula is blamed for such an incident and then accused of witchcraft, she is nearly lynched and the choice then presented to her is stark. Either accept incarceration in a ‘witch’s camp’ or be turned into a goat! BAFTA award for best new director.
