Dysfunctional French family practice standing on one another’s toes!
The Laurents are a dysfunctional family of the wealthy French bourgeoisie. Their lives may seem elegant but they have their problems. These problems consist of a mixture of Haneke’s usual themes: covert filming, suspected murder, dementia, racial discomfort, suicide, euthanasia and dissolution, all played out to the background of the migrant crisis at Calais. Excellent cast includes Isabelle Huppert, Jean-Louis Trintignant and Toby Jones.
