In 1983 in communist Poland the police beat up a schoolboy from a dissident family and a few days later he dies of his injuries. The victim’s best friend, who was the only witness to what happened, is now exposed to the full fury of both party and state. A salutary reminder of how bloodthirsty Marxism really was.
